Pokino
Ordering app for a poke restaurant in Angers
Problem
Pok Ino, a poke restaurant in Angers, wanted its own app to take orders to eat in, take away or deliver, connected to the restaurant’s point-of-sale system. The main developer, a friend, asked me for help to structure the app and its CI/CD and to raise its quality step by step.
How it’s built
A Flutter app with Riverpod and go_router, using Firebase for sign-in, notifications and Cloud Functions. Invoices come out as PDFs, and some pages use MVVM to keep concerns apart.
What I did
I reviewed the code and CI/CD of an app that already worked. I restructured the home screen, split the ordering flow into single-responsibility steps and documented both modules. I also cleared the static-analysis warnings and fixed the code generation, so quality is now checked in the pipeline itself. It was a good challenge, because this time my job was to audit, not to build.
How it’s used
Customers choose eat in, takeaway or delivery and a time, customize their dishes, then pay online or on site by card, cash or meal voucher.
Where it stands
It’s covered by tests and about to go to production. The only thing left is the terms and conditions page the App Store requires. There’s no date yet, and when it launches I’ll add the screens and links.
